Joe is her lone male admirer. He gets pressed into service as her unpaid intern because he owns a van. Joe imagines Neeko is his girlfriend, in reality his hard work & complete devotion earn nothing but Neeko's deepest contempt.
He rationalizes her contemptuous behavior toward him as harmless fits of artistic temperament.
The way Neeko sees it Joe owns a van & she owns him.
One day, as Joe is tending to the Mother's Bed installation in an empty gallery, his memory is cast back to a humiliating episode he had with his next-door neighbor at the time, a post-punk Riot Grrl named Quinn.
He & Quinn were 18 year-old high school seniors at the time. They haven't seen each other for several years. Now Quinn appears out of nowhere as the bass player of a band scheduled to play at the art show.
Some raunchy sex ensues on top of Neeko's mother's bed ruining her work of art... or does it?
